Everyone who sees this tub is impressed. The plumber who installed it was impressed. Most importantly, I am impressed. It is really a reasonable price when you consider it comes with the faucet. The plumber said the provided drain assembly was just plain dumb but he used standard fittings to make it work. I would purchase this again over and over! Remember, however, you are purchasing a natural product that can't be treated the same as you would treat a porcelain tub. I have used it about every other day now for a month and it seems to be holding up well. True, you can't use comet on it (the thought makes me cringe!), but I just make sure there isn't any soap scum (or bubbles!) left inside the tub after it drains. I wipe up any standing water on the edges because I have very hard water - no issues. The shower attachment needs to be left in the tub until after it drains, but that's just gravity and would occur with any faucet. That attachment is wonderful, by the way! The bathtub comes with damp sponges in the bottom to keep the wood moist, but mine sat in the garage for several weeks before installation, and I live in one of the most arid places on the planet. I experienced some "weeping" through the knots when it was filled the very first time. I left it filled with water for about an hour and the weeping stopped and has never come back. I expect if it was to go a long period without use the issue would reoccur until the wood became moist and swelled again. This is something I would expect with a natural product. Gives me a good excuse to take leisurely baths! Overall this is something I'm proud to have in my home!
